Early Reading and Reading at Malvern Parish

At Malvern Parish C of E Primary School, we believe that reading is central to a child’s understanding of the school curriculum and is a vital life skill. We believe this to be true, whatever their starting point. At Malvern Parish our vision is for all children and adults to become aware of their God-given gifts so they can flourish as individuals, achieve academically and build firm foundations for the future. We believe that being able to read confidently and fluently is key to this.

At Malvern Parish C of E Primary School, we believe that writing is central to a child’s application of the school curriculum and is a vital life skill. Through our teaching of writing, we aim to develop pupils with the knowledge, understanding and skills they need in order to flourish as individuals, achieve academically and build firm foundations for the future. We believe that being able to write confidently and competently is key to this.
